Can’t donate? Share the appeal.

Sharing can bring the situation to people who have funds, useful contacts or relevant expertise. A clear link to a dated appeal gives them somewhere to learn more and decide how to help.

  • Keep the date, source and location with a claim or photograph.
  • Explain that WARN is assessing recipients for the Kalimantan fund.
  • Credit another organisation’s reported work to that organisation.
  • Link to the original appeal so people can check updates and terms.

Forest and peatland fires threaten orangutans, other wildlife and their habitat in Indonesian Borneo. WARN is raising funds for eligible organisations responding locally. Grant recipients have not yet been selected. Read the dated evidence and fund terms before donating.

Questions about getting involved

How can I help animals if I cannot donate?
Share a sourced appeal, help someone find an appropriate rescue contact, learn about wildlife welfare or offer a useful skill. When sharing the Kalimantan appeal, include its date and recipient-selection status so other people can make an informed choice.
How do I volunteer with WARN?
Contact WARN with your skills, availability, time zone and the kind of task you would like to help with. You can offer research, writing, design, translation, technology or fundraising experience. An expression of interest is not a confirmed vacancy or placement; WARN will need to agree a suitable task.
Where can I find animal rescue volunteering near me?
Use the rescue directory to find an organisation and check its own volunteering information. Ask about current vacancies, training, supervision and the time commitment before arranging a visit. A directory listing is not a placement or an endorsement by WARN.
Can my company help WARN?
A company can enquire about a donation, matching a clearly defined fundraising campaign or providing professional expertise. Contact WARN with the proposal, timescale and any conditions. Matching arrangements, brand use and any promised benefits need to be agreed before they are advertised.
Can I share a photograph of the Kalimantan fires?
Use a photograph only when you have permission or a suitable licence. Retain the photographer’s credit, location and date. Label archive or illustrative images clearly, and do not present another organisation’s rescue as a WARN-funded outcome. Sharing the appeal link carries its evidence and context with it.
Can I change an existing monthly donation?
Visit the monthly donation management page for the available self-service route and donor support contact. Use the email address associated with your donation and check that any requested change has been confirmed.
