What Macaw Adoption from the UK Actually Means

Macaws are parrots, and this symbolic gift connects with WARN’s parrot appeal. It is not a separate macaw-only fund, an individual bird sponsorship or a route to acquire a pet. Read the appeal’s scope before giving, and contact WARN if you need a narrower restriction agreed.

The photograph helps illustrate the species. It does not establish that the bird has been seized from trade, is living in a rescue centre or has received WARN-funded care. A real rescue story requires its own source, date and permission to share the image.

Can rescued macaws be released?
Yes, when rehabilitated and able to flock naturally.
