What Sea Turtle Adoption from the UK Actually Means

This is a donation connected with the sea-turtle appeal. It does not assign a tagged turtle, name a hatchling, purchase a nest or guarantee a release. The sea-turtle photograph illustrates the subject and is not evidence of a rescue paid for by WARN.

Sea turtles differ by species, population and location. A global conservation category is not a measure of the safety of every nesting beach. The related appeal explains these distinctions and points to dated assessments, including changes in green-turtle status.
